So did anyone find the July meal plan helpful at all? I’d love some feedback!

Starting this blog has definitely made me stay on top of my own meal planning!  I have a confession though; meal planning and pregnancy don’t always go hand in hand! There were so many nights this past month that I didn’t feel like eating what was planned so I switched up the order of the recipes. The nice part was that I had a whole calendar of recipes to choose from! That’s the beauty of it;  a monthly meal plan helps you be prepared! Still…there might have been one or two “meltdown” days when I was depressed that I hadn’t had my baby yet and I was too uncomfortable to cook so my wonderful husband ordered a $5 pizza so our family didn’t starve. Can anyone relate??

Anywho! I’m excited about the August meal plan because I threw in several recipes that sound fantastic but I haven’t tried yet. If you have any suggestions for the recipes please leave a comment on them!  Enjoy!!

UPDATE: Several of these recipes call for shredded chicken, check out this post to simplify your life a little more :)

  1. Is there a way to keep other recipes up still for past months? I had like 5 recipes that I was going to use this month instead of last and now I don’t know how to make them! Lol

    • Yay! I’m glad this is useful to you! No worries. You can still access all of them 🙂 The calendar can be found under the “Previous Months” tab (you might have to change the month back to July on the google calendar) and all of the recipes can be found under the “Recipe Index” tab. If you want a quick way to see just the July recipes you can find those by selecting “July” from the Quick Links menu on the right.

  2. I just saw this but I’m excited to follow your tips and learn something new! I’ll probably change the month around a little bit to cater to my family and our schedule so I was wondering what template you used to create the calendars?

    • Hi Hannah! Thanks for checking out The Monthly Lineup! The calendar you see on the blog is a Google Calendar. At home though, I use a blank print out calendar (this one to be exact!) and I fill in the order of our meals by hand. Feel free to change it up to work better for your family. I plan ours out by which days are our crazy days (For example Monday afternoons are usually very busy so Monday tends to be a slow cooker meal and Wednesdays are leftovers since they are the craziest!). I hope this helps you save some time and money!
